Miss Can is a third-generation Lisbon family - their grandfather started canning back in 1911 - and they still wrap every fillet by hand. Wild-caught mackerel with curry and chilli, and to our taste it lands warm and gently spicy rather than fiery, the curry rounding out the richness of the fish. Their canning project won Portugal's National Prize for Creative Industries, which tells you how seriously they take it. Spoon it over rice, or eat it on toast with cucumber!
